I really wish that I had taken a lot more pictures during this trip

Unfortunately, this was the only good shot I had while we were in Atlantic City, and we didn’t even take a single pic in Philly. Unbelievable.

We didn’t really spend as much time in the city during this trip – because we didn’t really feel like it. Overall, it was still a lot of fun, but there was something about it that I didn’t feel very comfortable with. Driving through Times Square, seeing all the crowded streets, and just going around Manhattan, it felt cool, but it definitely didn’t feel like a place I would want to live in someday. We didn’t really do any touristy stuff. We tried to feel like locals as much as we could (besides the driving part), but something in me felt like I didn’t wanna be a local in this city.

I think that my next visit here will be a completely different experience. I think that if I try hard enough, I will like it much better once I get to know the city more. We’re planning to go back in a few months, and let’s see if I can stop myself from thinking about OC while I’m in NYC.

Chicago

I’m going back in time for this entry, because I really wanted to share some of my old travels on this blog. Even though the pictures from my past journeys were taken from super outdated cameras (I think I either had the iPhone 3 or an old point and shoot here or both), they were still, nevertheless, a part of my travel experience, and ones I don’t want to forget.

Though this blog entry might not do an excellent job showcasing the beauty of Chi Town, I was just happy that I was able to save some of these pictures and found them on my back up drive, so I can at least share what I have.

I took this trip back in 2009 with my boyfriend. It wasn’t really supposed to be a vacation trip – I wanted so badly to be a flight attendant at that time, that I decided to drive all the way up there to interview with an airline. I wanted so badly to travel the world and at this time, being much younger and much more innocent, with a super broke mindset, I thought the only way I could travel was if I worked for an airline. I didn’t end up getting a job with the airline, but I didn’t really go home sad and disappointed https://hookupdate.net/pl/dominican-cupid-recenzja/ either, because hey, I was able to hang out in Chicago with my man for a little bit. I felt happy enough to know that I tried, and I’m not looking back wondering, what if? Things always do happen for a reason, and now almost 6 years later, I’m really glad that everything happened the way that they did. ??

So we took this drive in the summer time. We were lucky enough to at least enjoy the weather as I hear really, really cold and freezing stories during winter time here in the Windy City. From what I recall, people were out biking, walking, and having a great time in the nicer areas. But just like any other city, I remember a little horrifying story in, I’m guessing, the bad area of the town as well (but I’m safe, so it’s all good).

But then again, my taste changes way too often

I spent some time editing these photos to make them look a little more dated (it’s really embarrassing to show the originals). Plus, I’m gonna try my hardest to remember what I saw and experienced when I was there 6 years ago.
